This is his second deer of the season. The first is safely packed away in my freezer. I'm very happy for my husband, but I don't "get" the whole hunting thing. I mean, I'm not opposed to it, but I just don't "get" it. Oh well, I'm sure there is plenty about me that he doesn't "get."
Now I get to enjoy venison all winter long. I still prefer beef, but this is free. (Free, if you don't count the bow, the arrows, the gun, the bullets, the license, the time, the "outfit"........)

I keep telling my husband that if we really figured out the cost of all this "free" meat he would be surprised that it is not "free" at all.....but he seems to have selective hearing.... ;) Enjoy your venison!
